Spanning through centuries of history, Palazzo Talìa links its foundations to ancient Rome up to its recent rebirth as a luxury hotel. Standing above the ancient Virgin Aqueduct (Acqua Virgo), the building evolved from a private residence in the 16th and 17th centuries, into a prestigious College, and finally into its current guise as a luxury boutique hotel. This transformation is the result of a masterful restoration by the Federici family, with the design of the common areas entrusted to film director Luca Guadagnino.

The design of Palazzo Talìa stems from an exceptional creative dialogue that brings together cinema, art, and high craftsmanship, seamlessly integrating with historic statues, busts, and frescoes. The common areas and the Terrace Suite were envisioned by film director Luca Guadagnino and his SLG studio. Through a masterful use of light, he was able to complement the existing historical architecture with contemporary design, giving a strong theatrical and cinematic character to the space. As a result, clean-lined seating and modern details integrate discreetly, leaving room for the contemplation of the 18th-century frescoes. The remaining twenty-five rooms and suites were curated by Mia Home Design Gallery and Laura Feroldi Studio, who were able to evoke the intimacy of private Roman homes through the stratification of eras and styles. Within these spaces, the frescoes coexist in perfect harmony with custom-made furnishings and iconic international design pieces, utilizing warm color palettes and enveloping fabrics. Meanwhile, landscape designer Blu Mambor envisioned the botanical project for the inner courtyard, and a selection of master artisans embellish the property with Murano glass chandeliers, lava stone tables, and designer rugs by Nigel Peake.

Palazzo Talìa is part of the independent hotel group Fresia Hotels & Resorts, founded and managed by the Roman Federici family. Thanks to its strategic location, Palazzo Talìa allows you to reach Rome's most famous points of interest on foot: the Trevi Fountain is just a 3-minute walk away, Piazza di Spagna about 5 minutes, the Pantheon approximately 13 minutes, Piazza Navona around 15 minutes, while the Colosseum and the Imperial Fora are about 20 minutes away.

Palazzo Talìa does not have a private on-site parking lot, but offers several solutions for guests wishing to reach the hotel by car: a) Car Valet Service: for cars with a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) access permit, the hotel offers a pickup, parking, and return service directly at its entrance, through a partner fee-paying garage b) Nearby Garages: guests can use secure parking garages located approximately 400-500 meters from the property, with daily rates ranging between 70 and 90 euros. Since car access in the heart of the Colonna district is strictly regulated, we recommend contacting the team via email prior to arrival at info@palazzotalia.com. This will allow them to register the vehicle's license plate for the electronic gates and organize the parking service.

Palazzo Talìa is easily accessible from both Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and Ciampino Airport (CIA) through various private or public transportation options.


The ideal solution depends on your desired level of comfort and the amount of luggage you have.

• Private Transfer Service (Recommended): The hotel partners with private chauffeur services, which can be requested via email at info@palazzotalia.com. The driver will meet you directly at the arrivals hall with a sign displaying the guest's name, ensuring direct access into the Limited Traffic Zone without any logistical concerns.
• Official Taxi (Flat Rate): Official white taxis of the Municipality of Rome (recognizable by the 'Taxi' sign on the roof) are available right outside the terminal exits at both airports. Fixed, pre-determined flat rates apply to reach the hotel: €48 from Fiumicino (FCO) and €30 from Ciampino (CIA).
• Train + Metro (From Fiumicino): You can take the Leonardo Express non-stop train directly from Fiumicino Airport railway station to Termini Station. From Termini Station, you can take the Metro Line A (towards Battistini) and get off at either the Barberini or Spagna station; Palazzo Talìa is just a 6 to 10-minute walk away. From Roma Termini Station, it is also possible to reach the hotel by taxi.

Palazzo Talìa accepts pets upon request. Well-behaved, small dogs are allowed, with a maximum weight limit of 15 kg per pet. A maximum of two dogs per room can be accommodated. A non-refundable supplement of €150 per pet, per stay is required. Service animals for guests with disabilities are exempt from this supplement. Upon request, the hotel provides pet beds, food and water bowls.
